I was also 23 in the early 90's. In my opinion these bands mentioned above are and always will be awesome. I still listen to AIC, PJ, STP, SG, GNR,  and I always will. I just curious to know why nobody has mentioned the FOO FIGHTERS or AUDIO SLAVE in this thread because to me these two bands have prettty much kept that great sound/style from the 90's (or as close as it could be) also ALICE IN CHAINS in my opinion is the most talented band from that era CANTRELL/STALEY were gifted (CANTRELL STILL BEING).

Alice in Chains was my favorite band of that era.  "Dirt" is my favorite album of that period.   Mad Season's "Above" is another really good album to check out, featuring Layne Staley.

I have all of Foo Fighters and Audio Slave's albums.  I like the first Audio Slave but I'm not a fan of the other two.  Foo Fighters has been putting out solid work since they started. (Maybe one exception being Echos Silence Patience and Grace)

Yes, after I posted this I realized I did'nt mention mad season, temple of the dog, rage. SAP is an excellent from AIC also, dont know if you have it but it also recorded very well and sound's awesome with the grado's. And thank GOD audio slave made the music they did, because to me there is'nt to many solid band's recording that kind of music.

I have all AIC's stuff including "SAP".   Definitely some good stuff on it.  "Jar of Flies" is my favorite of the acoustic based stuff they put out.  It's probably one of my most listened to albums ever.
