Multiple judges seeking to find the best of the best listened to nearly 200 remixes and in the end only 21 came out on top. The 2nd place runner-up Faction package goes to the version of Vessel (Losing Control Remix) by Pushing Reality. Thanks for the heads up. Could be some very good work in there, so I'll definitely be taking a look when I get home

Thanks for the heads up.
I'll pass on these MP3 files though, since I don't fancy lossy music...

Pretty good. I wonder if it will be released as an actual CD as well. Remixes are pretty well done. I am going to guess that this isn't an official halo. It's definitely worth the download though. Some people really created almost entirely different tracks, while some remixes still sound very similar to the original songs. I think it's pretty cool that Reznor releases the source for so many songs so people can do this.

This is not "open source." Open source is not a buzzword! It has a specific definition and meaning. There is no actual source code available for this. Nine inch nails making the garageband files available is very similar to a company making the source code for something available, but it's still not source code; music doesn't have code.

I was visiting with Lithium Dawn when he was making Everything Is Zero. I have a FLAC of the final version. It is amazing as well as another Survivalism remix I have called The Truth - Parts I and II. I'll see if I can get them up soon.

In the mean time, I found the mp3 of them online...

They used open source as buzzword for the marketing, IE Open Source Resistance. It's more of a title.

From the site: Due to the huge demand for the open source
remix album, I've removed the links to the zip files
for now. I don't have that much bandwidth!

I'll add
them back on the site once the demand dies down.
Everything in the zip files are included in the torrent
link including the album art.

If anyone could upload these tracks to a trusted and frustration-less host like mediafire, it would be much appreciated...

Thanks
