i am currently running iBasso IT03 and Campfire Vega balanced into Opus#1 and Fiio X7. Want to take to the next level and get even more out of my music. What would be better ? New dap ? Output to head amp? Ideas and suggestions welcome. Mainly listen to jam band, bluegrass, and acoustic jazz

You are defining the Shure SE846. I strongly suggest you to have a listen to them. I can point out instruments behind me, crashes over my head and kicks coming from bottom if the music is recorded, mixed and mastered that way. For me SE846 does it way better in precision than my open back Sennheiser HD6XX or Grado SR80i. Also a Chord Mojo in your signal chain might bring more details and better instrument seperation, I don't have one yet but every reviewer praise it with a wow-like experience.
