Having lurked these forums for the past few weeks - i realise that i am about to regret getting involved for my wallet sake.
So to my question.
What would be my best move next.
current situation.
28 yrs old
Listen to some classical but mostly rock,trance, dubstep, along with some metal just to change gears.
system
Im using a PC, with a xonar st soundcard and some lovely Sennheisser 558's with the foam removed (555-559 mod)
i also play games on my PC- namely cs:s
where should i go next?
a seperate headphone amp?
or a DAC.?
butget is low - £300 atm.
and as of this evening i buckled and put in an order for some grado sr60is.
i do have available an old trio amp - ka-1500 - however i get some sick distortion/hiss/crakles - which i assume is down to electrical interferance from the pc.

also to fellow UK Head-fi'ists where do you get your equip from?
