Wondering if anyone keeps tracks of expected release dates from companies. I've had my K812 pro's for a while, which I think are great, but kind of what something different just to have something new. It's been years since the k812 pros came out, I presume AKG should have a new flagship coming? Does anyone have any sense of how many years are between their new headphone releases?

Which if not, what is another headphone that you consider of a similar category to k812, but better? I know there are a bunch of new ones now.

In the k812 I really like:
- expansive 3D imaging
- Deep bass is still impactful
- highs that go literally as high as you can hear

only con for me is some frequency bands can reveal do some odd things in some tracks

Harman closed down AKG's Vienna facilities in 2017 so AKG as we remeber it doesn't exist anymore. It's just a brand name for harman/Samsung now. There is https://mysphere.at which was built by people who made AKG K1000. Also https://austrian.audio it's a company established by former AKG employees.
