If you take a look at the product description at Hogwild (http://shop.store.yahoo.com/hogwildstore/mdrv6.html) it mentions "newly developed" drivers and earpads!! Is this just packaging hype or is there actually a line of "new" v6's out there??

And why is it so hard to find mention of the v6's on Sony's website? Are they actually still manufactured or are we just draining the pipeline at this point??

Sounds like they took the original PR from years ago There is no "new" V6.

They are still being manufactured; they just aren't listed because they were supposedly "replaced" with the V600. The MDR-7506 should be listed, and the V6 are the same headphone, produced on the same lines.
