I am just starting into he headphone side of audiophileism. I have been reading the post for days, out of that I have purchased a pair of AKG K701's they seem to fit the bill for a starter set and not too terribly expensive. The help that I need is to find and purchase a headphone amp for these along the same line in quality and price as i am just starting. I need to know where also. I was just going to use the 701's with the McIntosh MCD 201 CDP. I have been told that the headphone amp on that unit is pretty good. Would this be okay? I will also use the 701's at work with a Rotel 1070 and 1072 CDP. All help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Glenee
