Hello I'm only new to this site and to getting decent headphones. I like a few different musical genres such as jazz, metal, progressive rock, ambient/drone or soundscape type music if anyone could give me any recommendations and tip or what to look for it would be appreciated. thanks :-D

Yep. What's your budget? And do you need portability? Are you going to use them in public? Or at home in privacy? If the latter, you might want to consider open headphones.
