I'm shortly receiving an iMod 5.5G ipod which already has Rockbox installed. Do I need to install any rockbox software on my computer to manage music or can I just drag and drop music files straight in there?
There is no management software needed for Rockbox.
You can easily drag and drop music files on your iMod. I keep each CD I've ripped in a separate folder on my hard drive, and then drag and drop the folders I want to listen to over to my iPod. When you go to play on your Rockbox, just navigate through the folder structure you have created to play whatever music you want.
