Your motherboard does offer a S/PDIC out connector, but you would have to buy the back panel bracket, that comes with the cable to plug into your motherboard.
The S/PDIF connector is show on page 10 of the motherboard manual, it's #22.
You might just consider buying a low cost sound card, which would come with an optical S/PDIF port, like the Asus Xonar DG or DGX sound card.
I have found SMSL products to not be the most reliable.
