Basically, i'd like to know what happens if a low impedance headphone, say 25ohms is connected to an amp that has a LOWEST recommended impedance that exceeds that ( eg 30 ohms).Does that mean that the headphone will likely distort at moderate volumes?
I ask because my 25ohm beyer dt48e have begun to distort in one ear piece when connected to my little dot MKV (impedance range 30-600).My assumption is that the problem lies with my amp, but i cant be sure.I'm hoping it's not a problem with the actual headphones.Any insight would be appreciated.
