Newbie Need Help: NetMD versus HD MP3?

Currently, Sony will support only Windows XP/2000/Me/98SE with their NetMD software. Thus, if you're using a Mac, you'll have to find another player.

If you're using a Mac, I think iPod makes the most sense, especially if you're not going to run/jog with the unit.

Agree. Besides other manufactures seemingly fleeing Mac support (Camdridge/Creative, etc.) as the iPod takes over (like Safari situation unfortunately), the iPod has a few other advantages when used with the Mac. You can use it as an external drive (Nomad Jukebox had this on the PC, but not Mac when it supported Macs at all- also the HFS+ format is the same as Mac instead of FAT32). You can use it as a lite Palm- (calendar, contacts, news). Those kinda things.

If you haven't already check out http://www.ipoding.com and http://www.ipodlounge.com for the extras.
