[Newbie2013]

Hi guys! I just started researching a little bit about headphones around the net and saw various posts recommending this place.

I am, as my username suggests, a newbie to headphones. I've only owned 2 headphones so far - a Sony mdr-zx100 and a $10+ Coby. The Sony pair seems comfortable for me, but I have been wanting to upgrade them and see how much better other headphones could be.

If I were to upgrade to the Sennheiser 200 series or similar in price phones, would I notice a HUGE difference and improvement over my current phones? I listen mostly to instrumentals with a bit of electronic and rock mixed in, if that helps.

I own the ZX100, ZX300 and ZX600 for the price they are ok and look nice.
I have also used the Senn HD201, nothing special here. 
But if you are after a huge sound improvement for little money try the MDR-V6.

Thanks for the suggestion! Those do seem nice with great reviews so far.
You wouldn't happen to know a few more models similar to those within the $40-50 range, would you? Trying to stop my wallet from bleeding ATM...
