This one looks both amazing and manageable, unlike the 8 inch one.

I'll write more later. I'm going to sell my SOTA SMS200 and power supply as well as my Audio GD R28 Dac/amp. This is better. And it has 30 hours on it and gets better by the day. AMAZING imaging and sound stage. It is a bit forward---definitely "first row" but with spectacular space deliniation. I'm picking up spacial cues that I hadn't heard before. Well--that's not exactly true. I've heard that level of spacial cues in some gear that I didn't like due to TOO much detail. Like the Hugo 2 for instance. It's not difficult to get those spacial cues if there is too muh high end detail. But to have that level of detail with the right muiscal balance---that's hard. Just enough detail in the high end. Actually--perfect detail in the highs. To compare with the IBasso 220 Max---the Max is too bright for me. And the low end on the W0 is bigger and with great control and impact. I'm a jazz bassist and speaker designer. I've played on Grammy winning recordings and with Grammy winning engineers. If someone says that a piece of gear is a "bass monster" or a "detail monster" ---I go running. I want harmonic balance--and since I'm a bassist---I want bass presence and control. I thought that the Audio GD--being an R2R would be much more musical. Maybe a small amount--but at the expense of that detail.
Haven't checked the battery life yet--but it is likely not too spectacular. This puts out tons of power and runs a bit warm. Physics are physics,
Now-- the initial caveats.Ok--with my YinLuMei m400--I could get by with minimal instructions. But for this--they need to get their s$%t together. This is a complicated piece of gear. I still only know a small portion of what it does. And--worst of all---the whole operation system is in Chinese. After hours of trial and error I figured out how to change the language to English. It shows that English is the language--I can do most things--but still most of the menus--Like control panel, etc. are in Chinese. If they want to appeal to the international market--they HAVE to get their s#@t together.
Other thing--the case is ok, but plastic, I think. Even $200 dac/amps (like Xudoo) are machined aluminum. And since this does generate a decent amount of heat.
I'm willing to overlook the negative (for now). I think that their engineering--in terms of performance--is cutting edge. I'm assuming that thier manufacturing and information will improve.
If anyone out there knows computers and is fluent in Chinese---and can figure out how to get Audirvana loaded---I'd be happy to send it to you to try!
For now---I'm pretty stoked!

Dang, that's gotta be annoying, having stuff like the control panel being in Chinese. Is it that much of an issue for you or is it still usable?

Supposedly they're installing 64-bit version of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 on their W0, that means we could simply follow these steps to install English (or just about any languages) language pack

https://www.mysysadmintips.com/windows/clients/638-install-windows-10-language-pack-manually
Start > Run type lpksetup and press Enter
Follow a simple wizard, select your language .cab file, and restart the PC when prompted

For English (International) language pack, we're going for Microsoft-Windows-Client-Language-Pack_x64_en-gb.cab while we'll need Microsoft-Windows-Client-Language-Pack_x64_en-us.cab for English (United States) respectively.

Links could be found below

https://pastebin.com/raw/FyYDZzaD

FYI - *.esd language packs could also be downloaded from Microsoft and installed manually, let's create a brand new folder such as C:\langpack first and here are the links

English (International)
http://dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com..._4dbf399aeb41d2939bdf2ba03ead69fba9fe154b.esd

English (United States)
http://dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com..._297c90024483d51017784a2e00da85a570a14b57.esd

(Please copy and paste the link just in case the download weren't started automatically.)

Put either *.esd file into the C:\langpack folder and then watch this video below

Follow the instructions to run Command Prompt as Administrator first, then copy and paste either line below (all the way from the beginning to the end) to get the language pack installed

English (International)
Code:
DISM /Online /Add-Package /Packagepath:C:\langpack\microsoft-windows-client-languagepack-package_en-gb~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-gb~_348b5189f53d3cc126d4af7866538f925a8cb558.esd
English (United States)
Code:
DISM /Online /Add-Package /Packagepath:C:\langpack\microsoft-windows-client-languagepack-package_en-us~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-us~_2ff937750ec8ffc547a289fd7db4394139fc939e.esd

FYI - Windows 10 drivers are available here

https://www.yinlumei.com/download/download-74-130.html

It's just pointing to a *.rar file, then we'll extract that and there's another plain text file with the link to download W0_drivers_x64.rar via Baidu Netdisk

https://pastebin.com/raw/JSsvTg3G

In other words, it might not be such a big deal even if there were something wrong with Windows 10 down the road. We could always install the latest release of Windows 10 (preferably in English) and then the drivers (run the file Install.cmd as Administrator) should be taken care of.

W0驱动安装说明.txt contains some instructions in Chinese and that could be translated with Google Translate etc.

The 1st generation of LattePanda 4GB/64GB as well as AAEON's UP Core seemed to share fairly similar hardware, not sure if they're useful at all?

Thanks for the suggestions. It's been more than frustrating with Yin Lu Mei. It's not that they have bad customer service, it's that they have NO customer service. I finally ( by looking at the tiny icons) got it changed to English. (downloaded the language pack.) But--on the screen (see pic) it says "Activate Windows". When I finally find the place to activate Windows, I get the second screen. Don't know what to do. The drag is that it sounds REALLY good. I couldnt get Audirvana to open. the message says "the file you are attempting to play has an extension (.appxbundle) that does not match the file format. I think that I did something dumb. When I was trying to open it, it asked what program to use. It had Windows Media Player listed, so I selected that. I think that now it's only trying to open it with the Media Player. I don't think that it had a program loaded that could open an appx file.
I finally got Qobuz working, but it was screwy on the screen ( icons on top of eachother) and if I opened to full page where the icons were seperate, the screen wouldn't size it the W0 screen.(only half of the screen--sometimes I could drag it to get to the icans--sometimes not )Then Qobuz stopped working.
I LOVE the size and potential , but it's so frustrating. And the minimal manual is in Chinese. I have no Idea as how to change filters, etc.
I only listen to streaming, and using it with Audirvana is the only reason I got it. (I'm addicted to using the FabFiler EQ).
If there is anyone here that wants to take a stab at getting it working and set up in English---I'd be willing to part with a few bucks.
also--I don't think that Audirvana works with Linux. I wouldn't mind using an other programthat could stream Tidal and Qobuz--but I thin that Audirvana is the only one where you could uswe VST3 plugins.

They do have an official QQ Group for answering support-related questions in addition to their e-mail address, though language barrier might be quite a challenge

https://www.yinlumei.com/contact-us.html

Recently Jussi just added Qobuz integration to HQPlayer 4 Desktop

https://audiophilestyle.com/ca/bits-and-bytes/streaming-services-through-hqplayer-natively-r1068/

And then here's how VST plugins could be done

Even foobar2000 seemed to work well with VB audio cable

Regarding Audirvana, we're talking about Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC here and therefore at the very least we'll need to get the official "App Installer" going first

https://community.audirvana.com/t/audirvana-3-5-no-longer-launches/27818/10

("Microsoft Store" app might / might not be optional.)

Basically we'll need to enable the "Developer Mode" as shown below and then proceed to install "App Installer" (there will be 7 files) afterwards

https://tech.andrefelipe.net/2019/02/how-to-install-uwp-modern-ui-apps-on-windows-ltsc.html

If that "App Installer" weren't enough, then we'll also give Microsoft Store a try

https://github.com/kkkgo/LTSC-Add-MicrosoftStore

As it was pointed out by @hb20032003 in the comments below for those who wish to just load an app and not have the App Store you can use the following site: store.rg-adguard.net (copy-paste) and get a direct link to download for any app from the store web site.
