Yamaha recently announced a new lineup (2 over-ear models and 6 earbuds, 3 of which are true wireless). Their most expensive over-ear model is the wireless noise-cancelling YH-E700A:

Hmm, with how big those earcups look, they might be really comfortable (for me, I have big ears). But we'll need to see how good the ANC is, and if it can match Sony or Bose.

So tired of wireless crap. Yamaha, make some serious headphones like the old HP, YH and YHD orthos.

Those look big in that picture but they look massive on the girls head in the pics on Yamaha's site.

Maybe there's hope.

The YH-E700A looks intriguing. The cups are huge - I like that!

Let's see if they can challenge the current hegemony of the Sony and Bose flagships.

... it's the technique that makes a difference
sorry, could not resist... these are now available for preorder on Amazon.de
Do you have a link? I couldn't find them there.

Not that they would ship to my country anyway but.

Thank you. I will keep an eye out for them on Thomann as well.

They look a bit like the Sony Z7.

Yes, the design does indeed look a bit like the Z7. Which is not a bad thing... and the Z7 was very comfortable, which I hope for in this one as well.

Just taking a look at the Yamaha HPH-MT8 as well, but that's of course a wired model for the pro market... so maybe that won't tell me anything. Never had any Yamaha consumer model, so I have no idea about the sound signature to expect.
