cool! I'm actually going to the AES show later today, so I'll get to hear the DAC (Wolfson is supposed to have a demo setup using the dac there, iirc). It's in NYC--if someone really wants to go, it's at the Javits center from today to monday.

I have a few of these lying next to me. I recieved them from Wolfson a couple of days ago (yeah, I know some people

). I believe it to be a WM8740 with a lower noise modulator and a new digital filter, so far initial testing has confirmed this.

What's interesting however is that it has a THD of -100 dB, compared to the older WM8740 which has -104 dB.

Hmm..... I asked about samples a few weeks ago, but they would only send me WM7840s, I figured it was the DSD support, but might just not have been offical yet. (It's been in company docs for 2 years)
