I predicted a while ago, Sennheiser would make headphones to compete with Phillip's wireless 5.1 surround sound offering, and here they are. the Sennheiser 'RS130 RF' and 'RS140 RF', made their debut at CES. Priced at $169 (RS130) and $219 (RS140)... not bad.

Theyve been out for about a year and a half and theres bugger all about them on head fi. So ill assume that noone bought them. I have the RS-45, which was the bottom model of the old wireless series, and when i went back to using it recently I had it thrown back into its box in minutes. I hope that these models are a significant improvement, theyd have to be in order to be anything more than rubbish imho.

I tried out the 130's last Christmas after receiving it as a gift. Sound was decent for normal TV viewing, but nothing special for watching movies or gaming. They sounded weak and dry from what I remember. After a week I put them on ebay.

Do you consider yourself an audiophile. I've been watching movies on my laptop with the ipod earbuds and I think they are fine... though I've never owned an expensive pair of headphones so I can't compare!
