Just a quick heads up to the Schitt owners on head-fi. Schitt has posted new drivers for the Gungnir and Bifrost (v1.03). I can confirm that these drivers DO support WASAPI-Event unlike the prior version. This should improve performance and error resistance under Windows 7/8. Also for those that use XBMC (frodo and above) which only supports WASAPI-Event this will allow you to use it instead of direct sound.

It's true, the driver supports WASAPI-event. I got my Bifrost last week and was shocked to see that Event didn't work and the unit wouldn't work with MediaMonkey at all. The driver fixed both issues.

I traded emails with Jason late last week and he sent me the updated driver. Was so glad to see these issues resolved!

Just updated my Windows 7 computer with the new driver. While Foobar no longer gives me an error on WASAPI event, the audio is a jumbled mess.
