Hi new here...

Listening mostly to Spotify free at the moment and checking out Deezer as well.

Listening via a Note 2 and a Note 10.1 2014 through Philips Fidelio M1 'phones - they are the bluetooth version but I use them wired indoors. Have taken a fancy to the Fidelio X1 as well but going to wait on them.

Sound is great to my ears but I have inherited a set of mighty Sharp HP-400h 'phones from my dad and would love to give them a go. Don't think my Nores are going to be enough to drive them thougj so looking for a good quality headphone amp around the £100 mark - in built dac would be good as well to try, tested both Notes with a USB OTG cable and a Logitech USB headphone connector and worked well so I guess both devices put digital audio out the USB without issue.

A little more than your budget, but the FiiO E18 DAC/amp was designed to work well with Android.

Thanks both, will check them. Can the FiiO be run directly from the mains or does it only charge and runs always off the battery?

By "mains" do you mean does it power off the phone or tablet? Sorry. I don't know. But I don't think you should worry about that. My understanding is that it has a high capacity battery that can be used to charge a phone.

Thanks. Yep, I mean if it's plugged in to charge does it run directly off the input power or via the charge circuit and battery - is the battery replaceable?
