wanna bet it turns out to be a TDA1543 DAC chip mated to a USB front end just like the Wavelength models ?

I heard the Cosecant at CES '04 and it sounded very nice indeed. The casework is gorgeous. I'm ordering The Brick blind - or should that be deaf? - to use to feed a (TBD) headphone amp in on-site recording situations
off my Powerbook. For on-site recording, the Cosecant industrial art chassis seemed like overkill. I'd have to worry about chipping the wood or glass all the time!
