Hi all,
Brand new to this forum and the world of hifi headphones. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a pair of NAD HP50 phones for work and movies (5.1 bluray setup, nexus 4 at work). In the future (if these closed cans work well for the movies) I want to get a pair of good open phones for dedicated home use of movies and music. I have a 5.1 bluray home-theatre in a box setup that has an optical output but no headphone jack. My two questions are:
1. Is there a device that will convert my optical output from my home theatre into the right output for a pair of headphones to plug into?
2. If yes to above, how will a pair of headphones (the HP50 for instance) handle the 5.1 bluray lossless signal in stereo? Will I get a sense of surround, or just plain stereo?
Thanks so much for all responses. Pardon me if I am using wrong language
