For open's, I know exactly what I like. You'll have to pry my Grado RS2i's from my dead cold hands.
(With comfies, otherwise, I think they're too bright.)
But now I have a new job, that open office thing, so I need closed headphones. For kicks, I tried a pair of ZX-600's, and I was amazed how good they sound, for the $25 I paid for them. Basically, I'm looking for *more* of what these do. I like the frequency balance, although the lows could be tamed a hair, but they need more extension. I like the highs, but they could use more detail and definition and resolution. But to be clear, I'm not talking about an increase in the high frequencies, just better detail. (And as a frame of reference, I don't like the V6 or 7506's, not enough low end and/or highs that are too shrieky ).
Since I like these a fair amount, any other Sony's to try?
But as another frame of reference, all the cans in my signature, I also really like.
??
Thanks!
