im kind of new to the audiophile community. currently i have the hd598 and nothing else. but im thinking about getting schiit loki and schiit Valhalla. is this a good setup for hd598 and hd700 (which i am planning on getting as well)

I would think the Schiit Valhalla would be a little overkill for the $163 HD598 headphones.
But that Valhalla would make the HD598 sound nice
 
Getting the HD700 in the future does make getting the Valhalla more worth it.

ya i know its probably overkill for 598. but i plan on getting the 700 soon  and thats just the start of my planned collection

Definitely sounds like a good plan for an amp/dac stack that will suit your needs as you grow your collection

The Loki only works with DSD. Nearly all music is not DSD. Are you sure you want a DSD-only DAC?

ahh good to know i guess all go with the modi 2 uber maybe probably going to make a post in the dac section
