Did a quick search and didn't see this come up, so...

It's... okay.  It sounds careless compared to Illinois.   I like it now.  Not as much as Illinois but I mean I didn't expect to.  What's with his guitar solos though?  They fit alright within the context of the song, but I'm not a fan, especially with the very screechy pitch they're played at.

60 minutes is not an EP.  Make shorter songs Mr. Stevens.  Not that I don't listen to long songs or whatever... I enjoy my post-rock, but really I just don't think it suits Sufjan Stevens.

I'll continue listening to it.... see if it grows on me.

Head-fi's thoughts?

And now a new album, The Age of Adz, comes out October 12th.  Here's a song from it called I Walked.

Bummer, I've been anticipating some new Steven's stuff.

Generally speaking, I'm with you on length. Some of these kids, have never heard of the old axiom "leave them wanting more." Hire an editor people.

This is a strong set of songs as far as I'm concerned. There's always something he's throwing in that makes it a bit disconcerting, but I like that about him.
