So far I didn't notice anything bad at all about the player. The only thing that could be better is the finish of the unit. it looks great, imo, but I would prefer a nice stainless steel front :p
The remote looks like a dvd remote and they just forgot some buttons

But that are the only things I could argue about.

I think there were some issues with the home theatre amps dying or something. I did ask the guy selling those about the reliability and he told me he'd had no returns - I was inclined to believe him since he was trying to push some Accuphase to me

I know about problems with the cd drive. I think it was the HD 750 which had several problem's with CD-Rs but they adressed many problems in the new one. I think this is a completely new cd player and not an upgrade to older ones as they did with their stereo amps (which are really good btw...).
I have nothing to prove all this

But just don't worry about all this, there are many happy owners who never ran into problems at all.

It seemed to be more a general reliability problem - but that was already a couple of years ago, so it's quite possible they've already got over that in the meantime.

I know there might be some players with an even better value, but since I am located in germany, most of them won't be an option.

It seems that the nad and the cambride are units, that are highly recommended for their price. I am not so sure about the hk unit. Which one would you recommend and why?

Amp: Corda Aria

Thanks,
