My old sonY PCDP from 1996 had a digital out... and a radio... I still use it sometimes. something 401 I think it was..

this mp3 player is missing a lot, especially for the price. It doesnt have a remote control, firmware upgradability, and FM tuner, or a very big LCD (at all), or the option to buy a remote WITH and LCD on it. The RioVolt2 has all of these feautres, and costs just a little more..I highly recommend it.

It's sony man!! It's not Rio. In fact, rio looks very plastic. I think this sony look very elegant. The backlit is cool as well.

From a build-quality point of view I would think the Sony will be far better than my Iriver2 but from the sheer number of facilities, headphone volume and upgradability point of view, the Iriver2 probably beats the Sony.

The only problems with the Iriver2 is some noise from the amp section (not much more than from the original Airhead amp) and it's not totally skip proof.
