I have finally compeleted my setup with my Ipod 5.5 gen and my atrios m8 from a user on this site but im just wondering if i should switch to rock box to get better sound is it provened that rock box gives better sound can any one anwser this ?

Try it and decide for yourself. It's fairly easy to install Rockbox. Even if you didn't think the SQ improved you cannot argue that the added features are well worth the trouble. The only downside it the decreased battery life.

Being able to use the parametric EQ might equate to better SQ depending on your needs/personal preference with the Atrios.

Keep in mind that you'll be able to load the Apple software with a reboot and go back to Rockbox just as easily.
