New Sennheiser models

Presumably, the HD205 was well regarded?

I currently have HD465 and HD485 amongst my 'sleeping' collection and they haven't been around in the UK for too long. I just wonder whether the new phones are 'tarted up' versions of those two for kiddies!!

I'll wait to see reviews of how the HD205 performs. I wanted to purchase a good portable can, preferably Sennheiser, but I didn't want the HD201.

it would be interesting to take any of these and seeing if it beats a SR60.

Interesting. Looks a lot like the Sharp MD-33.

Any y'all Europe-ians have a pic of the 205 on yer heads? I kinda like the way they look. Been looking for a new portable, hopefully these sounds decent.

I wonder whether the 435 has the same drivers as the 465/485? In the UK, the 435 is extremely cheap at £31.

Surely, I'm unable to go to the HD435's description/specifications page on the web site.

The HD205 looks pretty interesting as well, though I'm not much into closed phones (but I love the HD201, my best-spent-ever 20 euros).

I'm always worried about offending someone!!!

I'm also interested in the 205 and how it compares to the 201 since so far, I haven't found an ideal closed 'phone. I always find them 'coloured' with a 'quack' type of sound within them. (Sorry - that sounds daft too!!) Probably the direct sound and reflected sound from the back of closed phones combining.

I can't get a decent seal (Therefore no bass) on the Senn PX200 and the AKG 26P is just bearable for most things. Still very coloured though, so it would be nice if the HD205 gave a cleaner sound.

Some time ago I bought and immediately returned (even overly so, should've burned it in at least) the PX200. Didn't like it too much you see.

Instead the HD201 made a good impression on me from the beginning, and things only got better with burn in. Funny thing, the HD201 doesn't have the "honky" or "quacky" sound typically attributed to closed phones to my ears ... yes it has its mild limitations (how could it not), mostly a lack of fullness (not bass depth) without a bit of added bass boost ... yet for absence of obvious midrange coloration and good airiness, it manages to sound like an open 'phone, to me!

If the HD205 improves on the HD201, it can only be (very) good.

You must've been really wasted for new years and slept away like 5-6 days. Cause it's Jan 7th now... You really missed out man.
