After reading the forums I decided to get some high quality IEMs so a couple of days ago happened to be in a store that had demo units of SE846, SE535LTD and AKG3003. After half an hour of playing with them I went with the SE846 and love the full, transparent sound.
 
I have been using them with the standard foam tips that came with it and thought I would try the other tips BUT I have not been able to get the foam tips out - tried following the instructions and rotating the tips but no matter how hard I tried they would not budge.
At this point I am afraid of either ruining the foam or even worse breaking something in the IEMs
 
Any ideas/tips on doing this right?

weird... I mean, foam tips can be a bit hard to peal off at times but it should not be as hard as you make it seem.
perhaps ask in the store. If something does break, at least it'll be their fault...

Gave it one last attempt before bringing it back to the store and with some careful pushing out the tips came up - rotation as the manual recommended is not the way to go.
