I just got a (new to me) pair of RS-2's and a new pair of Triple.fi's. They are both fantastic. Compared to my MS-1's, the rs-2's just take it to the next level. Detail, depth, dynamic range, clarity are all vastly improves, and how they look: just gorgeous (I would post pics but I don't have my digital camera with me this weekend).
As for the triple.fi's, the comparison to the e500's is very interesting. In my opinion they seem more forward than my e500's, the sound is definitely more in front of you. Detail in the highs are definitely hugely improved over the e500's (especially in cymbals and cymbal decay). I hear what people have been saying about the mids being unique on these phones. I'm not sure what it is but it is definitely distinct. Everything is there but it seems a little further back than they are on the e500's.
I am a very very happy camper right now, can't get over the sound of these two new phones....I'm in heaven!
