I have used Altoids and Velamint boxes like many of you have for little amps, but I found a new box that looks promising. It is a Whitman's "Cloisonne" sampler tin that I bought in Walmart for $1.48. I like chocolates better than those foul mints anyway.
The interior dimensions as measured to the center of the radii at the corners are as follows:
78mm (3 1/4") Long X 58mm (2 7/8") Wide X 24mm (1") High. Fits in a shirt pocket and is slightly larger and deeper than an Altoids tin. A 9V Eveready Energizer battery will fit edgewize in the tin instead of having to lay flat. The Duracell was a little tight when I closed the lid. The Energizer fit perfectly.
