if I "make all forums read" while I'm logged on some posts are still marked as "new" when I log out. are there two sets of cookies, one for when you're online and one when you're offline?

You could get an answer by doing a PM message to "Jude". This site exsists on his server.

I'm not sure. Are you sure it's the same post triggering the "new" icon? Sometimes, a new post will pop up while your screen refreshes.

maybe I wasn't clear enough. try this...

1. wait until you have some new posts
2. log on
3. click on "mark all forums read"
4. log off
5. check if you have some posts with "new" tags.

mr_slacker, this feature is working for me. I wish I had an explanation for you. If more people are having problems, I'll have someone look into this matter a little deeper.
