Expand my musical horizons, find some outstanding new music
The Rules
--the artist must be new to me
--the artist must have released a proper album during year 2009
--the artist must have at least three proper album releases including the 2009 release
--I must order a "middle album" -- not the first, not the 2009 release
--both the 2009 release and the one I'm ordering must score at least 65 on Metacritic
The Results
Eleven new orders on Amazon.com. I cheated a little. For instance, I recently bought Mew's 2009 album, but I haven't listened to it that much. And Oceansize's 2009 album was just an EP, not a true album. And there are a couple of missing Metacritic scores because they just didn't include the album in question. But for the most part the technical part of the goal was accomplished. Now the listening, feeling, and infecting part comes, in January. This should be extremely interesting.
