A single ear going is more often the connection at the jack itself than the earphone. I’m sure somebody could repair it, although I’m surprised Flare won’t because they did my R2S for me. Perhaps because the design wasn’t massively different from the flagship Flares Pro at the time.Hello, I follow your exchanges here and it's interesting to see your opinions. I'd like to share with you my latest experience with Flare Audio. I bought the ProHD2 4 years ago which I loved terribly, unfortunately they have aged very badly and one earphone stopped working a few days ago. The after-sales service replied that there was nothing they could do since… 4 years! Although they knew that the fault lay with the flimsy cables. Just a proposal for a 20-30% discount on the site. I'm going to follow your feedback on the Masters just out of curiosity, but for my part I won't be buying anything from them again in view of their current after-sales policies. Some may find that a bit pushy on my part in view of 4 years, but I expected more from this brand.I hope the overall quality of the Master is better ! And maybe the futur SAV will be too, or not…
Cheers
Sadly not, I’m using the Bluetooth device so it’s about the câble near the earphone and not the jack. They just don’t care because it’s discontinued, simply…
@Dazzlarrr, Sorry!!! Totally forgot to update you about the Qudelix 5k. It was a good match when I was using it via the USB connection, but I noticed a slight softening of the music whenever I used it on Bluetooth. I don't use the eq function on the 5k, so can't comment on how well it works with the Studios.

I’d upgrade from the S EARS to the Master purely due to the form factor alone, but I’m certainly getting clearer sound out of the masters. I wouldn’t expect a massive difference, but the more you listen to them, the more you can hear improvements in the sound. I’m finding it hard to explain the differences and can only really express it as cleaner sound.Hi, any more review on the Master and compare it with the S model? I purchased the Flare Studio and liked them enough to grab the Master when they were released. The Master is definitely a nice jump up in sound. After about a week and a half though, the left one died. I tried swapping the channels and tried an entirely different MMCX cable. Support was great and are sending a new matched pair that should hopefully arrive soon. I've been using the Studio till the replacement Master gets here. I'm just hoping the new pair are more reliable.
I've been extensively using just my Masters over about two weeks without going back to the "normal" or pro editions, including using them on a plane journey and whilst away on holiday, so I've put a good amount of hours into them now. Last night, in bed - so in a very quite environment, I'd forgotten to take my masters upstairs, so I reverted back to the "normal" set. I could immediately tell the difference in the quality of the music between the two editions, especially now that Masters have a good amount of burn in on them. It was so much noticable going Masters -> Normal than Normal -> Masters. Don't get me wrong, the normal and pro still put out good sound, but the upgraded driver in the Masters just make everything sound cleaner and more defined.
