So my dog got ahold of the cable/jack on my Shure SRH-240's and chewed through it. The jack itself is in okay shape, but the rubber casing is torn up. I'm pretty sure the jack is salvageable but I haven't torn it apart yet to see for sure. I need some options for replacing the mini-jack portion of it. Is there a place to buy maybe 6 inches to a foot of new cable with a new jack (with a good strain relief) already attached? Splicing would be a bit easier/cleaner for me, I'm not very confident in my soldering abilities. Or what's a good source for a new mini jack with a good strain relief? I'm not so worried about the length, the dog really only got maybe a foot of cable, and it was already too long for me. Preferably a threaded jack so I can use the 1/8"-1/4" adapter that came with the headphones.
