As title says looking for an open can with sound signature of M-100. Will be paired with sec Gen X3, not amped (unless needed). Music is of all types, metal and old school punk mostly, but alt. Country, blues, reggae, as well as a little rap will also be played. Looking at Fidelio X2 or Beyer DT-990 as possibilities. Any help would be appreciated.

If that's what you call it. I prefer bass, but not with mids & highs not present. I realize that an open can probably won't have quite the same impact. Just not anything boring or analytical.

I think you might enjoy X2 more.. you can also consider 7XX..
