Through the work HD Tracks, more high res content is becoming available.  HD Tracks has seemed to primarily have classical and older recordings, but The Hunting Party is one of the few high-res new releases that has been deployed at launch.

I picked it up last night and have been enjoying listening to it today on my HeadRoom Balanced Triple Stack and HD 800s. The noise floor is virtually nonexistent and the tracks are crisp and clear. If you like this type of music, I'd recommend it.

Nice that you are happy with it, but what I think would be much better is if some of the modern albums getting licensed to HDTracks were from masters with at least a little dynamic range, something with a much better DR Database value than 5, and let HDTracks sell that one to us audiophiles, while the general public can have the highly compressed one. But I guess that is lost hope.

Fair point. The other songs are growing on me though. I really like the last track too, which is quite long. I have the other 24 bit albums from HDT too, and they're good. I don't know if recharged is new, but I just discovered it.

I'm trying to let them grow on me as well...but they just don't have the emotional urgency of their past material, you know? I still need to get the 24-bit versions of their remix albums.
