I just got a set of the new white Spark Plugs but I notice a distinct hum when I plug into my laptop. I've never heard a hum with my sportapros or portapros so I was wondering if this was normal with an in-ear phone or if maybe it was just the laptop. I havent tried it from a quality source yet since I just got the package.

Its common with low impedence high sensitivity canalphones. You need a low gain amp circuit to power the plugs.

Or you could get an inline volume control, turn the inline volume down and crank up the source volume. This method may cause annoying distortions, but it only costs like $10.

Right!! I forgot about that. Radio shack has in line volume controls that are like variable resistance. Theyre like $5
