New Innuos Pulse Streamer Series

I have a Pulse Mini. Ever since I got rid of the power supply, I noticed that I lose connection more frequently. I went in the settings and I made sure the setting for leave device connected was on but if I surf the web on my phone for 2 minutes and then go back to the app, I have to reconnect.

Is there any other thing I'm missing?

Hello, is it a problem to let Pulse always 'ON' 24h/day 7days/ week?
This is generally fine - it keeps the PSU warm so will help it to sounds its best at all times, and the idle power consumption is low. On the other hand, no harm or significant penalty in shutting it down when not in use

The PSU element is just coincidence, this would not be related to the issue you are facing. Which mobile device do you have? We have had some reports that are similar to what you describe so this is something Innuos is looking into, seems to be more prevalent on iOS. I know that on previous instances there was some battery saving rules on iOS that could apply itself to certain apps including Sense, so disabling this can also help (might be the same as the 'leave connected' mode you referred to).

Welcome. It's a great app. Probably the best I've used.
I've used Lumin, Lindemann, EverSolo and Bluos.

Hi folks, sorry I am so late to this thread.
Just to say I am an employee of Innuos, so if anyone still has questions surrounding the PULSE series then i am happy to try and answer them if it would help.

You should get an MOT badge for better recognition :)

I don't know if I am alone with this conclusion but using an external roon core with the Pulse as roon end point is a lot better in my stereo system tthan using pulse as stand alone streamer with Sense app. Music is more real, Live and 3 d. I must buy a nucleus one to replace my noise laptop..

2025-02-15 update: Well, after more critical listening sessions, i want to redraw my previous comments. Sense app is better than Roon. Adding convolution/impulse filters with Roon improve frequency response in my room but it kills all the emotion, liveness in the music. I definitely prefer Sense app sound quality over Roon. The Pulse streamer improve a lot after 200 hours. Amazing device.

Recently acquired a Pulsar. Very pleased with its addition to my chain so far but still breaking in.

Congrats! Share us any impressions vs the built-in streamer or against a Macbook/PC

Moving from the Macbook as source / Roon Core to dedicated ROCK produced a more noticeable noise floor reduction than previous streamers I’ve used such as the Holo Red or Lumin U2 mini + external LPSU mod as alternatives to the Tambaqui’s embedded streaming interface. In comparison, the Innuos did not audibly reduce the noise floor beyond the benefits of the ROCK, however instrument separation, particularly in very busy tracks, was noticeably improved. Time domain handling seemed to also improve but more subtly so.

Have you tried innuos app with a streaming service? I read that Innuos sense app sounds better then roon for some. I don’t have roon so couldn’t try the difference.
