Basically, I need suggestions for a new IEM upto $250. However, it cannot even have a hint of sibilant. Sibilance really hurts my ears. I think I am especially sensitive to it.
Anyway, I listern to a wide range of music.
My source is either an iriver e30 ( portable) or via computer using a DIY RA1 headphone amp. Also, have a cmoy with many different opamps.
My current headphones or have access to.
1) AT CKM -55 - I currently use this as an all rounder,
2) Panasonic hje-70 - only use at home for certain female vocals. I quite like the sound and soundstage on this. But I can't use it much because it is very sibilant.
3) AT A500 - rarely use now, cos it is sibilant + uncomfortable compare with iem.
4) soundmagic pl50 ( access to) - warm and smooth for vocals. mid range seems more pronounced.
Thank you for any suggestions
