Excuse my improper use of the phrase "signal conversion" but I think that's what I need to do. So I've found myself in somewhat of a predicament. Before finding this wonderful site I went off on my own and purchased a PC360 and a Audio Technica AT2020. I use these items for gaming and recording my voice for videos I make on my youtube channel. I've recently looked into getting an ASUS Xonar DGX to power my PC360's to enable better positional audio and better tunes for when I'm not gaming. Then I thought: "Hey, maybe I can interface my AT2020 with it for better audio! " (this also made me feel silly because if that is possible, I should of just got a good pair of headphones in the first place and skipped the PC360s all together :frowning2: ) Alas, they are USB. So, here's the question.

Would I see any benefit from going from USB to XLR to aux to Xonar DGX and if I did, would I need to supply the mic w/48V phantom power because of the conversion?

Thanks!!!
