My Alessandro MS-1's came in Friday and I bought some Equation Audio RP-21's Saturday
I needed closed headphones for a lot of things so I got the RP-21's as my second pair. I'm still pretty new here and these are the best headphones I've ever head
I LOVE the MS-1's for almost everything I listen to (rock, indie rock. However, the RP-21's simply blow the MS-1's out of the water when listening to classical. I'm VERY happy with both headphones though
I have one question though. I was at a friend's yesterday and I listened to his Sony MDR-v700's. I didn't like them as much as the ms-1's or rp-21's overall, but the mids were SO pronounced when listening to them. I kind of wish the ms-1's or rp-21's had the same presentation of mids. Is that normal for my headphones to have very laid back mids? What upgrade would get me that better presentation in the mids and still keep everything else intact?
