HI I currently have a HD595 and a FIIO E11 Amp. I am Using a Cowon X9 as my player. I am looking for a replacement for my HD595. Currently FA011 (the original edition not the special edition) = $150 2nd hand, AKG K702 $200 Brand New, Q701 $250 New, HD 650 $300 New. So Basically im looking for a new OPEN backed headphone.
 
Also I am wondering if the IBASSO DZero $ 90 used and the E12 $129 Ebay, Delivered, is an upgrade from the E11.
 
Also note I am wondering if the FA003/Jaycar Studio Headphones (some one is selling a new one for $70 and they say behaves like and open back Headphone) is as good as the HD650. Hey better spend $70 than $300 if 90% of the sound is there on the FA003 compared to the HD650.
 
I don't listen to anything in particular but I do know I like my bass when its meant to be there. I currently have the ATH PRO 700Mk2 and they are indeed bass monsters but I really like the sound of HD595 so are any of the headphones mentioned above close to what I want in terms of sound quality (bass like PRo 700mk2 but spacious sound land airy like HD595. Home listening for these new cans only as I have and ESW9/SONY XBA 30 for my portable use.
 
My files vary greatly from 96kbps MP3 to I tunes quality files.
 
I seem to be heavily leaning on the Q701/K702, More so the Q701 as I heard it has a warmer sound signature than the K702. The question remains if the e11 on bass boost 2 and some EQ'ing on my X9 will bring some bass impact from these cans. Do the K702/Q701's even synergise well with the E11? Does it even have enough power to drive them?
 
I am willing to buy the Ibasso Dzero or E12 if it indeed matches/synergises with any of the headphones mentioned above. So a portable headphone amp to $130...
