I need to build new headphone cable for my iems, and I wasn't sure which one to buy.  I think I've narrowed my choices down to the Mogami W2799 Neglex quad or the Canare L-4E5C star quad, but I don't know which one to get.

Mogami W2799 Neglex:

I'll be using these with my computer and mp3 player, so I like that the Mogami is thinner overall.  However I don't know which one produces better sound quality.  Between these two choices, which one would be better for building a new headphone cable with, and are there any difference in sound between the two?

I would go with the smaller Mogami as it would be lighter hanging from the headphone. Also, what I have found is that you always are wanting more, so buy a good 20-30' IMO (don't forget plugs).
Copper cables like this are basically identical- they conduct the signal no differently to you ears than any other decent copper cable.
