Hi guys,

I'd like to get your advices. I have a Little Dot II (not ++) with HD 600. My source is a Squeezebox Duet. I was wondering if it would be better to invest in another amp or to buy a DAC. I have a DacMagic in my stereo setup (with a SB + Naim Nait 5i) and I tried it with the Duet and the Little Dot. The improvement did not blow me away. Would changing the amp for a better one be a better upgrade than buying a cheap used Dac (Beresford, DacMagic, etc.) ? If so which amp do you recommend ? I want to spend 250 $ for a used amp or DAC.

Thanks !

For $250, I don't think you will find an amp that sounds appreciably better than the Little Dot.

So I would probably look for an inexpensive used Chinese-made DAC like the Keces or the Valab.

If I were you I'd buy a good DAC now, sell the ld2 when you have enough cash to get a LDIII or one of the not crazy expensive wooaudio amps.
