Get a 650 cable and 600 grills for it. An HD580+

check out what i recently did to mine. i spray painted the headband and grills to make it look 10 times sharper :

personally i don't like the 600 grills. they don't look better and they don't add anything better to the sound even though some people swear they can hear a difference.

I got my 650 cable last week and my 600 grills today. These are MUST HAVES. The cable made the music a little more dynamic and the grills opened them up and mostly got rid of the 3 blobs of soundstage. I like my 580's a little more each time I put them on.

And I must say the same for my very similar HD600s!

.....I bought them used with a very interesting history!! Otherwise I just may have gone for the 580s as well!

I heard Cardas makes good cables for Sennheisers...even better than the 650...there was one there a couple days ago and he said the deal fell through...I believe he's asking 100 for a 10ft cable...decent price if you ask me...

where can you order the 650 cable and 600 grills?

you can order the cable on the website, but you have to call sennheiser directly to get the grills. do a search on this forum for the part number. you might have to wait a long time since they are ALWAYS backordered because of head-fi members. i waited about a month for mine. i might be selling mine since i don't like the looks of them, so look for a FS thread on them soon.
