Just downloaded and purchased Decibel last night and have been super happy with the results over iTunes.  I'm running Decibel on my 2011 iMac to a Nuforce Icon-2 to Energy V-Mini bookshelves.  It definitely seems that the "veil has been lifted" - I can hear more subtleties of tone and texture and sounds other than the actual music.  For example I can hear more of the extraneous noises from instruments, audiences, conductors grunting, musicians breathing....it's pretty sweet!  I did demo PureMusic and was not as impressed with the sound quality, although it was definitely a lot better than iTunes.  Also tried out Bitperfect - which seemed to do nothing as far as sound quality goes.  Anyway, just wanted to chime in and let people know about my experience with Decibel.  cheers!
