I have the Mikros 90. The Mikros 90 is an on-ear headphone, and the DT770 is over-ear. The Mikros 90 has VERY high clamping force - out of the box it felt like it was going to pop my head like an over-ripe grape. It needs to be carefully bent to make it comfortable.

Other than the clamping issue, I liked the Mikros 90 - but I think the DT770 is a superior headphone. The Mikros 90 was a great deal at the sale price I paid (I think it was ~$70), but it doesn't belong in a direct comparison the DT770.

Is there anyone who owned both the m50(x) and the DT770?
I'm "affraid" with a lot of use that the cable of the DT770 will easily break.. And I've never soldered in my life to be honest.

You think the ATH will be better for me?

I was in a similar situation yesterday, DT 770 32 ohm vs ATH M50x. I went for the DT 770 Pro 32 ohm(new, factory sealed) from ebay(cost me ~170 bucks+15 bucks International shipping).
After @EDMaddict recommended me these, I went for them because they were more bassy and comfy to wear over the M50x.

PS:I have a large head with big ears.

Thanks man! I'll order the DT770 when I have the time (I'm waiting for an operation for my shoulder and my contract ends in march) so I also gotta watch my money a bit haha.

Heya Head-Fi'ers,

I have just been offered a Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro for 150Euro's because the dealer in my country has stopped distributing them. Is this better than the DT770 and the ATH M50x?
It looks nice and I've tried it on and it feels good..

Anyone who can give me some insight of this comparison?

I went out and bought the Kef M500 for €210. I prefered it's comfort over the Custom One Pro. I think I've made a very good choice, the adjustable bass on the COPS is nice, but I find comfort more important.
