I just glanced at a favorite audio dealer's website and the GR1 is listed as a closeout item... Any news of a new & improved version?

The Goldring website refers to the GR-1.2, which looks like a second generation GR-1. It may be that your dealer is just looking to sell out his stock of older GR-1s. You could try asking Todd -- he'd probably have a good idea.

Goldring released a newer version of GR-1, which called GR-1.2. They are same as GR-1, but it looks more like Rega 2 right now.
