The pictures at the Beyerdynamic site show new headphones, can anyone tell me if these are the new ones or just for over seas and not here.

I believe the old line is being discontinued, replaced by those updated version. They're supposed to sound identical.

Jan told me that he expects to see the first set to arrive to him in a week or two. They're priced a little bit above the current line (not the sale price), by like 20 EURO or so (for the 880's).

Quite frankly, I think they're ugly as hell. The 880s looked a lot better before. I like my old school 770s.

I like the new ones but wish the 880 was written like the other two and not clear on white

Good question.

You can customize them now, which is pretty cool and the straight cable is nice.....

BTW, seems like they don't offer the 770/80s in that style
